Current and Past Advisors
Vali is my current grad school advisor. Much of her geologic interests involves igneous petrology and arc tectonics. She mainly focused on the Tuolumne pluton in Yosemite. At the present, her interests have shifted farther to the south. I am working with her currently to piece together the complicated history of the Jackass Lakes Pluton south of Tuolumne.

Dr. Sinan Akciz
As an undergrad, I decided to do my senior thesis with Sinan due to his mastery of structural geology, and his encyclopedic knowledge of California's earthquake hazards. As a Master's Student, I still assist him with his research into paleoseimology, the data from his investigations greatly aid experts in assessing potential earthquake magnitudes.
